Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales, stock shelves, unload trucks, and keep the store clean and safe.

This part-time role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with prior retail or service experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions and operate assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with staff and customers.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, trash, and general neatness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
