Job summary

Family Dollar in Cameron, WV is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, manage transactions at the register, and help with unloading trucks and stocking merchandise.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, teamwork, and maintaining a clean store. A high school diploma is preferred, with prior customer service experience valued. Lifting up to 50 lbs and flexible duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform daily physical duties.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat.
