Job summary

Michaels is seeking a friendly store associate to assist customers, manage checkout duties with cash handling accuracy, and help with stocking and merchandising. You will participate in truck unloading, planogram execution, and store recovery to support a well‑stocked, inviting shopping environment.

Engage customers in rewards programs, educate about VOC surveys, and support Omni‑channel tasks such as BOPIS and SFS. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Retail and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop our store.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni‑channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS.
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance and returns/go‑back processes.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization and AD set duties as assigned.
• Adhere to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance; follow policies and standards.
• Promote a positive image and be a role model for team members.
• Cross‑train in Custom Framing selling and production.
