Job summary

Family Dollar in Middle River, MD is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and support the Store Manager in achieving store goals.

This part-time role involves merchandising, opening/closing, loss prevention, staff training, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment while ensuring policies are followed and customer satisfaction remains high.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
