Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Commerce City, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a part-time role.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, loss prevention, and staff coaching while upholding company policies and a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Keep store and stockroom clean, stocked, and presentable.
• Protect company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team.
• Other duties as assigned.
