Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Westminster, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment. The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and teamwork to help store staff meet goals and deliver excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and the candidate should be able to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
