Qualifications

• Associate degree or respiratory therapy certificate required.
• RRT NBRC certification and state licensure required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications must be obtained within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor respiratory status; determine interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapies including oxygen, meds, and airway care.
• Manage ventilation and airway support across acute care settings.
• Educate patients and families; coordinate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and sanitize respiratory equipment per infection-control standards.
