Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time, day shift. You will guide patients through routine and critical care, manage ventilation and airway care, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality respiratory support.

Qualifications

• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing required.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• NRP certification must be obtained within 60 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through focused exams and interpretation of breath sounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized medications and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway care, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation and monitoring.
• Educate patients and families, act as a clinical resource, and support newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain and sterilize equipment, ensure readiness, and adhere to infection-prevention standards.
