Job summary

Coast Guard Community Services Command seeks a Residential Manager to oversee a 14-room hotel, 6 two-bedrooms, 2 three-bedroom duplexes, and 4 RV lots in Novato, CA. You’ll manage registrations, finances, staff training, and guest services for military members and families.

Responsibilities include supervising desk clerks and housekeepers, ensuring compliance with cash handling and safety protocols, and developing marketing strategies to promote the hotel’s services.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in hospitality, business administration, or relevant experience.
• Strong hotel management knowledge and data entry software.
• Proficient in sales, cash handling, and personnel procedures.
• Experience supervising a diverse team of staff.
• Clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Familiarity with Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations and mentor front desk and housekeeping staff.
• Ensure cash handling and credit card compliance at all times.
• Collect payments and maintain budget and expense records.
• Evaluate staff performance to improve customer service.
• Provide outstanding service to military members and families.
• Resolve issues regarding hotel services and policies.
• Inspect for safety and organize work orders and staffing.
• Develop and implement marketing to promote hotel services.
