Job summary

Cedar Court Senior Housing in Norwalk, CT is seeking a part-time Resident Services Coordinator to assist and empower residents through education, vocation, and opportunities for self-improvement. The RSC will assess residents’ social service needs and coordinate with third-party providers to ensure access to needed support.

Responsibilities include building community partnerships, maintaining documentation, and conducting welcome orientations while protecting confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal & written) strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus on social work, human services, public health, or psychology, related field strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of professional experience working with families in housing or human services agencies preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and/or experience working with youth.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and other computer programs.
• Previous engagement with residents of diverse backgrounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ social service needs and coordinate services with partners.
• Develop partnerships with local providers to provide on-site programs or referrals.
• Provide non-clinical case management and referrals to residents.
• Build relationships with residents to understand needs and connect resources.
• Conduct welcome orientation for new residents and maintain outreach communications.
