Job summary

Arizona State University’s Biodesign Center for Health through Microbiomes (HTM) seeks a Research Technician to provide intermediate to complex technical support and lab operations. The role emphasizes lab safety, data collection, and collaboration with the PI and broader team to advance HTM research goals.

The position offers part‑time flexibility with alignment to Center needs, and reports to the PI, with opportunities to contribute to multiple microbiome and analytical chemistry projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, or related field is required.
• Two years of experience in a lab setting or equivalent training may be substituted for education.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and data handling abilities encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate to complex technical support and lab operations assistance.
• Maintain lab safety standards and organize research records.
• Assist with data collection, documentation, and collaboration with PI and team.
• Support day-to-day center activities including research projects and operations.
• Adapt scheduling based on needs of HTM Center and PI guidance.
