Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II who provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in complex clinical situations, primarily in critical care settings. You will perform ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP required at hire.
• Experience: 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, assessment abilities, and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care, including aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy.
• Manage ventilators, interpret waveforms, and perform airway management procedures such as intubation and tracheostomy care.
• Educate patients, families, and support systems, and mentor new staff and students.
• Ensure safety and quality through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote evidence-based practices and compliance with policies and standards.
