Job description

Role

Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessments in critical care settings.

Key Duties

Provides patient-centered care, including ventilator management, airway procedures, arterial blood gas sampling, and therapy plans. Collaborates with healthcare teams, educates patients and staff, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Ensures a safe, evidence-based environment with accurate documentation and promotes high standards of patient safety.

Qualifications & Skills

Requires an Associate or Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC-RRT or RCP certification, and relevant licenses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NALS). 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care. Skills include strong communication, critical thinking, relationship-building with healthcare professionals, and computer proficiency. Experience with invasive/non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics is preferred.
