Qualifications

• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with healthcare professionals and patients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory therapy including aerosolized meds.
• Manage ventilators, perform weaning, and interpret graphics.
• Educate patients, families, and new staff or students.
• Ensure safety via accurate documentation, protocol adherence, and QA.

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care in critical settings, including ventilator management, medication administration, and patient assessment. They perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, interpret waveforms, and educate patients and staff while ensuring safe, high-quality care. Collaboration with healthcare team members is essential for planning and delivering individualized patient care that addresses biological, emotional, and psychosocial needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory therapy, including aerosolized medications, airway management, and arterial blood gas analysis
• Manage ventilators, perform weaning, and interpret graphics for optimal outcomes
• Educate patients, families, and new staff or students to promote understanding and professional growth
• Ensure safety through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in quality improvement initiatives
• Support a collaborative, positive work environment and promote evidence-based practices

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
