Endeavor Health in Evanston is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate care on a designated unit. The role involves using the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while coordinating with family and healthcare team for optimal outcomes.

Education: state-approved nursing program graduate; IL RN license required. BSN preferred; CPR/BLS required. ACLS/PALS preferred. Travel to Endeavor Hospitals may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• IL RN License required.
• CPR BLS by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS by the American Heart Association preferred.
• CPAN/CAPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
• Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assumes responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on therapeutic relationship with the patient.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
