Job summary

Cura Hospitality is hiring a Part-Time Registered Dietitian for Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and enhancing quality of life aligned with patient goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (pre-2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition

CDR national exam or eligibility
