Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to join the team at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. The role involves assessing patients’ nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life in collaboration with the care team.

The position is 16-20 hours per week, with 1-1.5 on-site days and 1 remote day, covering NRMC and the connected Courtyard of Natchitoches Nursing Home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
