Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to join the Parsons, KS team. You will identify and assess residents' nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and support quality of life aligned with goals.

As part of Cura Hospitality, you'll collaborate with care teams, educate staff, and ensure compliance with nutrition standards. The role offers flexible hours (9 hours per week) and onsite work at Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition is required (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field is required.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR guidance.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
