Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian to join our team at Parsons Presbyterian Manor in Parsons, KS. The RD will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance residents’ quality of life in partnership with the healthcare team.

The position is scheduled for 9 hours per week with flexible days, offering opportunities to educate staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to dining service and nutrition programs in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition

Master's degree in Nutrition

CDR national exam or eligibility

75 hours CE every five years

Licensed or certified

Knowledge of regulatory standards

Ability to teach others about nutrition
