Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Casual Registered Dietitian for Parsons, KS to assess nutritional needs of residents, develop care plans, and help improve quality of life in a healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with the health care team, follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, educate residents and staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining flexible weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents.
• Initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status.
• Enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.
• Educate patients/residents and staff on nutrition.
