Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian at Parsons Presbyterian Manor in Parsons, KS. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and enhancing quality of life for residents. Schedule is nine hours per week with flexible days.

Must have nutrition degrees, licensure, and CDR eligibility; experience in healthcare is a plus. The team emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
• Nice-to-haves: Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess nutritional needs of patients/residents.
• Initiate interventions to maintain or improve nutritional status.
• Educate patients/residents and staff on nutrition.
• Contribute to dining service and continuous quality improvement programs.
