Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York is seeking a part-time Tutor to support program participants preparing for State Regents Exams. The Tutor will work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce Algebra, US History, Global History, Living Environment, or English Language Arts.

The role requires punctuality, attendance, and the ability to record attendance and progress using sign-in sheets or online tools. DOE compliance and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; pursuing AA/BA is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to comply with DOE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow the proposed working hours schedule.
• Provide one-on-one support to students.
• Track and record students receiving support using sign-in sheets or online tools.
• Assist programs with administrative tasks such as answering the phone, faxing, filing and organizing.
