Job summary

The Boys’ Club of New York Inc. is hiring an SAT/Regents Prep Tutor to support high school members aged 14-21. You will prepare class materials, teach SAT and Regents courses, score pre- and post-tests, and maintain a positive learning environment.

Classes may be group-based with several students or individual tutoring. Requires 2+ years in test-prep and strong communication skills. The role offers part-time hours at an on-site location in Bronx, NY and emphasizes a supportive learning

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in teaching test preparation, especially SAT/Regent prep.
• Relevant subject matter expertise and experience with a diverse male student population.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; effective classroom management.
• Ability to motivate students to perform their best and deliver program content.

Responsibilities

• Adapt SAT prep and Regent curriculum to member needs.
• Prepare, organize, and update course materials.
• Pace information delivery to meet student needs.
• Create an interactive classroom environment and build positive relationships.
• Ensure students are prepared for SAT/Regent exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of SAT/Regent formats and timelines.
• Model strong verbal and written communication.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
