Job summary

Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Amarillo seeks a reliable receptionist to welcome visitors and answer inquiries, provide accurate information, and route calls. The role includes processing donations receipts and assisting with Angel Tree distribution during the Christmas season.

Strong clerical skills and basic typing/filing are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, with customer service experience a plus in a busy nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
Experience in customer service or receptionist roles is preferred.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.

Responsibilities

Answer the telephone and transfer calls to the appropriate destination.
Greet and announce visitors in a courteous manner.
Provide information and referrals to callers and visitors.
Sort and distribute mail; ensure mail reaches the correct destinations.
Receive and prepare receipts for donations and packages delivered to the lobby.
Assist with Angel Tree distribution program during Christmas season.
Provide administrative support for the Angel Tree program.
