Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. seeks a Part-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for the Drapelick program in Bloomfield, CT. This role supports state and federal work release clients in a congregate setting, helping them obtain employment and meet goals while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field.
• Male applicants only due to contractual requirement.
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs of FBOP required training, prior to working FBOP clients.
• Education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one year for one year basis.
• Strong attention to details.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled shift (e.g., 4pm-12am shift by 3:45pm).
• Conduct urinalysis.
• Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
• Verify all physical items being passed between shifts.
• Ensure security of facility keys.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct area searches and document results.
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility and document results.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident report.
• Complete hourly house counts during night shift and every 2 hours otherwise.
• Transport clients as needed in company vehicle.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete paperwork.
• Supervise all client visitation.
• Sign visitors and contractors in and out.
• Complete intake on new arrivals prior to end of shift.
• Facilitate client orientation and movement in/out of the facility.
• Monitor client self-administration of medication.
