Job summary

Butterfly Effects seeks a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support children with autism at our Feeding Hills Center. The role focuses on implementing ABA-based plans, promoting communication, social interactions, and self-care in collaboration with families and a BCBA.

The position is part-time with hours 3:00pm-7:00pm, Monday through Friday, offering meaningful, hands-on experience and potential career growth toward BCBA certification with our training support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• RBT certification if already obtained.
• Passion for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Experience with children is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Observes, records, and reports on client progress daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in interactions with clients.
• Assists clients to acquire academic or life skills.
• Communicates professionally with parents, analysts/consultants, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in our online database.
• Participates in training programs to increase skills and maintains client confidentiality.
• Follows Butterfly Effects policies and procedures.
