Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Philadelphia, PA seeks a part-time Radiology Technologist to perform x-ray scans and support physicians in diagnosis. You will deliver patient care and education before, during, and after imaging, while ensuring radiation safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires ARRT certification or equivalent, knowledge of RIS/PACS, and ability to travel between Jefferson locations as needed. Night shift work is available, and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required or High School Diploma with ARRT certification.
• Knowledge of RIS/PACS systems and radiation safety standards.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to obtain images with necessary detail for diagnosis.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain accurate medical histories.
• Maintain patient and study information with confidentiality for billing and RIS/PACS.
• Ensure protection of staff and patients following radiation safety standards.
• Monitor and comply with local, state, and national imaging regulations and protocols.
• Maintain and test x-ray equipment and document results.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by lead technologist or manager.
• Pursue ongoing continuing education to maintain licenses.
