Qualifications

• ARRT-certified radiologic technologist or HS diploma with ARRT eligibility
• Knowledge of RIS systems
• Knowledge of PACS systems
• BLS certification (AHA)

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with needed detail for diagnosis.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain relevant medical history.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and use shields/aprons to limit exposure.
• Maintain and calibrate x-ray equipment and document service checks.
• Update patient and study information for accurate billing and RIS/PACS records.
