Qualifications

• Valid Texas license as a physical therapist assistant (TBPTE).
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• One year of experience as a physical therapist assistant.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide direct and consultative physical therapy services aligned with IEP goals.
• Evaluate student progress in PT and adaptive PE services.
• Assist with adaptive equipment to promote independence and access to the educational environment.
• Consult with staff and parents regarding PT and adaptive PE; provide staff development as needed.
• Maintain appropriate behavior management and an environment conducive to learning.
• Progress monitor students and analyze data to inform changes in PT program.
