Job summary

Silver Tree Nursing is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will administer prescribed PT treatments, assist a Physical Therapist, and contribute to mobility improvements and quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas PTA license, has SNF or long-term care exposure, and is proficient with Net Health documentation. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role within our inpatient rehab

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify patients’ physical therapy plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and modify approaches as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
