Job summary

Union Settlement Association, Inc. in New York is seeking a part-time Program Director to manage ExpandED Schools programming at Compass High School. The role supervises staff, handles budgets, and builds partnerships with schools and community organizations.

Responsibilities include developing the program, overseeing attendance, reporting, grant writing, and fundraising efforts while delivering social-emotional supports and project-based learning to youth ages 5–16.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Social Work or related field preferred; not required.
• Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field AND two years of direct experience with children under 13.
• School Age Child Care Credential or other Office-recognized credential plus two years of direct experience with children under 13.
• At minimum, three years of experience in youth development programs providing educational enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the ExpandED Schools program.
• Hire, train, supervise staff and interns; manage daily operations.
• Develop program, manage budget, and maintain school/partner relationships.
• Market the program to communities and schools; represent at meetings/conferences.
• Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts as needed.
