Job summary

Portfolio Resident Service in Tyler, TX is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to support residents in affordable housing communities. The role focuses on CORES certified resident services, building life skills, and creating monthly calendars of activities and resources.

You will recruit volunteers, coordinate programs, track sign-ins, partner with community organizations, and report monthly activities while ensuring a welcoming center and compassionate outreach to children, teens, adults

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 2-3 days per week, 12-5pm (Mon-Fri).
• Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required, typically 1-2 times per quarter.
• Relevant experience in education, social work, nonprofit or related field; volunteer experience considered.
• Experience with children, teens, adults and/or senior citizens.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with community and social service resources.
• Must attend quarterly team meetings (once per quarter).
• Comfortable using company-issued technology (iPad) and basic applications for communication, reporting, and program tracking.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming atmosphere to residents; serve as initial contact at the community center.
• Prepare reports based on the calendar, sign-in sheets, and contracted program hours monthly.
• Design, create and post monthly calendars and updated flyers on-site; door-to-door distribution.
• Oversee program offerings; recruit volunteers, solicit donations; partner with community organizations.
• Log communications with volunteers, partners and donations; submit monthly log.
• Provide information about local resources or assistance within the community.
• Engage residents in program planning; communicate needs to staff.
• Monitor interactions with residents of all ages.
• Maintain sign-in sheets for each activity and program.
• Monitor petty cash and replenish supplies as needed.
• Supervise the community center; maintain organized PRS documents.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
