Portfolio Resident Service is seeking a Program Coordinator to support residents of affordable housing communities with social and educational programs. The role offers up to $18/hour, 12 hours per week, and a flexible schedule.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives independently, is highly organized, and passionate about community impact. Duties include coordinating activities, managing calendars, and engaging volunteers in a cooperative, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 2–3 days per week; Hours are 12–5pm (Mon–Fri).
• Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required as duties demand (typically 1–2 times per quarter).
• Experience in education, social work, non-profit or related field; volunteer experience will be considered.
• Experience with children, teens, adults and/or seniors is desirable.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming, initial contact to the community center.
• Prepare reports based on calendar, sign-in sheets, and contracted program hours.
• Design and post monthly calendars and flyers to advertise on-site activities.
• Oversee program offerings, recruit volunteers, solicit donations, and work with partners.
• Log communications with volunteers and donations; submit monthly log.
• Provide information about local resources to residents.
• Coordinate resident involvement and communicate needs to staff.
• Monitor and interact with residents of all ages in activities.
• Maintain organization of PRS binders, documents, and forms for management.
