Job summary

Rockland Community College is seeking a Program Associate for Workforce Innovation to support microcredentials and CPL initiatives. You will assist with student onboarding, information sessions, and workshops, while guiding students through credit opportunities and career pathways.

The role emphasizes outreach to adult learners and non-traditional students, with 24 hours/week schedule and grant-funded status. Travel and occasional evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 2 years of admin or student services experience, or a Bachelor’s with 1 year experience
• Experience in higher education, adult education, or student support services
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong project management, event planning, and data tracking skills
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
• Valid driver’s license and travel to off-site locations as required

Responsibilities

• Report to the Associate Director of Workforce Innovation to support workforce-focused educational initiatives and student success
• Coordinate and support CPL and Microcredential programs
• Recruit prospective students through information sessions, workshops, outreach events, direct marketing and community engagement
• Facilitate onboarding for students pursuing microcredentials and CPL, ensuring compliance with policies
• Provide onboarding support for students entering degree or certificate programs after microcredentials or CPL
• Guide students through CPL applications and translate prior experience into academic credit
• Deliver student-centered advising and support for academic programs and career pathways
• Maintain records of student interactions and program participation using institutional systems
• Support credential validation and verification processes with the Associate Director
