Job summary

Passaic County Community College seeks a part-time Program Coordinator, Strategic Initiatives, Pre-College in Paterson, NJ. The role leads development and evaluation of GEAR UP/College Bound initiatives, building partnerships across schools, families, and community partners.

You will expand hybrid/online programming, support digital credentialing, and guide staff while administering Saturday programming. A master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, counseling, higher education, public administration, nonprofit management, community development, social work, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in pre-college programming, college access, youth development, education, community partnerships, family engagement, or grant-funded program coordination.
• Demonstrated experience building partnerships and coordinating programs across schools, families, institutions, or community organizations.
• Prior experience coordinating staff, vendors, consultants, or partner deliverables is required; formal supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of Pre-College initiatives, translating grant objectives into annual work plans with measurable outcomes.
• Develop partnerships with schools, college departments, employers, and community organizations to expand mentoring and college exposure.
• Lead Parent University and family engagement strategies, including orientations and two-way communications.
• Develop accessible hybrid and online learning opportunities and student/family resources.
• Coordinate digital badging and learning pathways that connect academic prep to career readiness.
• Coordinate partner communications and document commitments and outcomes.
