Job summary

Ocean County College seeks a Part-Time Workforce Outreach Specialist to advance Workforce Education by building relationships with employers, community groups, schools, and prospective students in Ocean County and surrounding communities.

The role promotes training programs and credentials, coordinates outreach events, participates in career fairs, and supports student recruitment while working 28 hours per week in person at the Toms River campus and outreach sites.

• Experience with CRM and data-tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise program awareness and recruit students.
• Proactive outreach to prospective students, adult learners, and underserved populations.
• Research and maintain relationships with community orgs, nonprofits, schools, and agencies.
• Support employer partnerships for customized training and credentials.
• Meet employers to assess training needs and recommend programs.
• Coordinate meetings and communications with Workforce Education leadership.
