Eaton is seeking a part-time Production Welder for 1st shift at our Waukesha, WI facility. The role runs 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and offers a starting hourly rate of $22.30. This position is ideal for welding students seeking hands-on experience while pursuing education.

Responsibilities include MIG welding, component assembly, and ensuring parts meet print dimensions. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the facility and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required or current enrollment in a High School program.
• Welding certification OR current enrollment in a Welding Program with an anticipated completion date in 2025.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation; must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility; active-duty military exempt from distance rule.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a MIG welding machine and air grinder; assemble and weld tank covers and components; check parts against prints for proper dimensions and locations.
• Ensure proper fit and appearance of finished parts according to quality specifications.
• Set up material in positioner, jig, or fixtures; make simple layouts when required.
• Weld or stud weld various types of hardware to the part; tack weld and adjust wire feed for proper weld size.
• Grind excess weld and trim edges for fit and appearance; operate crane and material handling equipment.
• Operate oxyacetylene cutting/carbon arc torch; replace MIG torch components as needed.
