Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Part Time Production Welder for the 1st shift at our facility on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI.

The role operates MIG welding equipment and grinders, assembling components to print and quality specs, with a 22.30 per hour wage and a 20+ hour workweek between 7 am and 3 pm. This position offers benefits with day-one health coverage, paid holidays, weekly pay, shift premiums, and opportunities for overtime and career progression.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or active enrollment).
• Welding certification or active welding program enrollment with anticipated 2025 completion.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation; live within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate MIG welding equipment and grinders to assemble and weld tank covers, guards, doors, and components per prints.
• Verify dimensions and locations against prints; ensure proper fit and appearance per quality specs.
• Set up material in positioner/jig/fixtures; make simple layouts when required.
• Weld or stud weld various hardware to parts; adjust wire feed for correct weld size.
• Grind excess welds and trim edges; ensure proper fit and finish.
• Operate crane and material handling equipment to move heavy parts and assemblies.
• Follow safety and quality procedures, and maintain a clean work area.

Skills

Welding certification

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Pass welding test
