Eaton seeks a General Welder for the 3rd shift in the Waukesha area. The role involves operating welding equipment on transformer assembly lines, welding stainless and mild steel, and using robotic welders. Overtime may be required, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants.

Compensation includes hourly pay of $26.20 plus a $2.50 shift premium, with full benefits and weekly pay. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI and be eligible to work in the US without

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of assembly experience.
• Minimum 1 year welding in a manufacturing environment OR completion of a 1-year technical diploma in welding.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Relocation benefits not included; candidates must live within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI.
• Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Operate various welding equipment on transformer assembly lines (welding stainless and mild steel covers, radiators, and tanks).
• Read basic prints and instructions; use available material lists to complete work.
• Operate cranes, jibs, and hand trucks as needed.
• Place weld-on and bolt-on covers and perform pressure testing with air/soap.
• Perform low voltage aluminum and copper welding and stainless-steel cover welding.
• Work in transformer assembly positions as required.
