Job summary

River Valley Regional YMCA seeks an Assistant Child Care Teacher to support a developmentally focused daily program for enrolled children. Under the Lead Teacher's supervision, you will help plan and implement activities that promote emotional, cognitive, physical, and social growth while maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment.

This part-time role runs 1:45pm–6:00pm, Monday through Friday, at our program in Lock Haven.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education handling
• Ability to plan multi-sensory activities
• Comfort working with diverse groups of children

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate daily activities.
• Maintain safe, healthful learning environment and supervise children.
• Support children's social-emotional development and positive guidance.
• Communicate with families and document daily records.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and help with classroom materials.
