Job summary

Tao Group is seeking part-time prep cooks to ensure quality and consistency in food preparation at our NY venues. You will wash, chop, and label ingredients, follow TAO recipes, and maintain sanitation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include stocking stations, assisting chefs, and supporting daily pre-service meetings. Prior culinary experience is preferred; a professional, team-focused attitude is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate.
• Must be able to move quickly and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Prep and assemble ingredients according to recipes and TAO standards.
• Label, store, and organize food items following FIFO and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the prep area and kitchen.
• Support opening and closing procedures as directed by management.
• Work as part of a team to meet service demands and quality standards.
