Job summary

Savia Community Counseling in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ seeks a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care to clients in our outpatient program.

The PMHNP collaborates with therapists and leadership, participates in TMS oversight when appropriate, and supports a client-centered model of care with strong documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with a PMHNP specialization.
• Board Certification as PMHNP.
• Active NJ Nurse Practitioner license.
• 3–5 years of outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management experience.
• TMS experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently within a team-based model.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations in an outpatient setting.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized medication treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and adjust treatment as clinically indicated.
• Assess risk, safety, and level of care needs, referring as necessary.
• Educate clients and families on diagnoses, medications, options, and side effects.
• Provide psychiatric services in person and via telehealth per NJ regulations and policies.
• Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and program manager to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices and participate in required trainings.
• Oversee TMS evaluations and treatment planning where applicable.
