Mensana Center is seeking a Remote Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide patient treatment services in accordance with license, board certification, and company policies. Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license and registration as PMHNP and RN in New York State.
• Board certified PMHNP with the ANCC.
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
• Collaborative agreement required for candidates with fewer than 3,600 hours of practice.
• Master’s or Doctorate in PMHNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric/behavioral health experience.
• Strong coordination and communication skills; ability to manage confidential information.
• EHR proficiency with Practice Fusion or AdvancedMD; MS Office and Google Workspace.
• HIPAA knowledge and behavioral health regulations.
• New York infection control and child abuse training if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans across the lifespan.
• Prescribe and manage medications within NYS law and company policies.
• Maintain DEA registration and comply with DEA/state regulations for controlled substances.
• Deliver psychotherapy or supportive counseling when appropriate.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete timely documentation in the EHR and maintain medical records for billing and compliance.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-management strategies.
• Coordinate scheduling, follow-ups, and patient communication with administrative staff.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and staff collaborations.
