Job summary

BioLife in Orlando, FL is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomy support. You will work 4–6 hours per day, 3+ days a week, greeting donors and ensuring donor safety while maintaining accurate donor charts.

You will use the Donor Information System, record vital signs, and support center operations. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required, with paid training and growth opportunities at BioLife.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for entire shift.
• Availability evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting up to 32–50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing ability.
• 90% of tasks involve glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and staff safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and take donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
