Job summary

BioLife in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a part-time donor screener/phlebotomist to support plasma center operations. You will greet donors, screen them, take vital signs, and maintain donor charts using our Donor Information System.

Expect varied shifts including weekends and holidays, with a focus on safety and quality. High school diploma required; willingness to work evenings and weekends; ability to lift light loads; prior customer or patient-facing experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.
• 1 or more years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet and focus on donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
