Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Able to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulders/below knees.
• Lifts up to 5 lbs; occasional 32 lbs; rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception; hearing equipment from distance.
• 90% of tasks involve glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on donor safety.
• Screen new/repeat donors; record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and records; coordinate compensation.
• Identify operational improvements and initiate center-process changes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
