Job summary

BioLife Plasma Center is seeking a part-time Plasma Center Technician in Bakersfield, CA. The role involves donor screening, phlebotomy, and supporting plasma center operations with flexible 4–6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week.

The team values reliability and strong customer service as donors provide life-changing plasma. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand, and California CPT1/CPT2/CLS/MLT licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs., with glove use due to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and staff safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support center operations.
