Job description

Job Summary

Part‑time Plasma Donor Screener – 5 shifts of 4 hours each. The role involves screening donors, collecting plasma, ensuring safety and maintaining records.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor service.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work mandatory shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current license or certification: Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1), Certified Phlebotomy Technician 2 (CPT2), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
• Ability to walk/stand for the entire shift; lift up to 32 lbs. (occasionally 50 lbs.).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 1+ year experience in a customer or patient‑facing role preferred.
• Acceptance of extended glove wear (90% of tasks).

Shift & Compensation

Shifts: 4–6 hours per day, 3+ days per week; most shifts 4 hours (5 shifts of 4 hours). Hourly wage: $19.00 starting. Eligible for U.S. employee benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.
