Job summary

Takeda is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener to support plasma center operations. You will perform phlebotomy and donor screening while ensuring safety and quality in donor interactions.

Responsibilities include greeting donors, recording vital signs, coordinating donor compensation, and maintaining accurate records. Must adapt to weekend and holiday shifts and comply with safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays required.
  • Lift up to 5 lbs; occasional lifting up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination and ability to hear equipment at a distance.
  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; 90% of tasks require glove wear.

About The Role

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.

How You Will Contribute
  • Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and team safety.
  • Screen new and repeat donors; take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
  • Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
  • Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
What You Bring To Takeda
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs.; occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
  • Due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.
