About the Role

BioLife offers a part‑time position focused on plasma donor screening and phlebotomy. Shift durations are 4‑6 hours, 3+ days per week, with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate donor compensation and support operational improvements.
• Work varying shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
• Communicate schedule changes in advance and maintain high reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs.; occasionally lift materials up to 32 lbs., rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine‑motor coordination, depth perception, and reliable hearing of equipment.
• Acceptance of prolonged glove wear for exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
• At least one year of customer or patient‑facing experience is desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting hourly wage: $16.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan and match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time per year, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
